Any responsible government will never allow the people of its country to drive without any authentication/ license. India is one of the advanced countries that has revolutionized its official system as it has introduced online DL check. Motor vehicle act 1988 is a strong law passed by Indian Government to ensure the safety of public and properties. If someone won’t follow this law He/She will be penalized. Violation fines are 500-1000 INR. Apart from this vehicle can seized and one can even be punished to jail.

To earn a driving license applicant must fulfill the following criteria

  • No specific qualification is required.
  • some states require 8th standard qualification.
  • If you want to get permanent license then get (LL) Learner’s License first. After 30 days you can apply for permanent one
  • The RTO will conduct a practical Driving Test to check the driving sense of the applicant.

  1. Learner’s Driving License: Before the permanent driving license the RTO issue learner’s license. Its validity is almost 6 months
  2. Permanent Driving License: After 30 days of LL (Learner’s License) you can apply for the Permanent.
  3. Commercial Driving License: Government issues the (CLD) Commercial Driving License to truck and bus drivers, who meet the required criteria of medical as well as age. The validity of this license is up-to 5 years.
  4. International Driving Permit: IDP stands for International Driving Permit, This license is issued for foreign countries.
